Article requirements

List of documents submitted

  1. 1. An article, executed in accordance with the Bulletin requirements. The size of the article, including the tables, footnotes, endnotes, annotations etc., must be no larger than 40 000 characters together with space characters – not more than 1 p.s. (for postgraduate students — 20 000 characters together with space characters – not more than 0,5 p.s.).

  2. 2. Custom fonts if any have been used.

  3. 3. Covering letter author`s questionnaire (see attachment № 1).

  4. 4. Application form (see attachment № 2). According to The Russian Civil Code part 4 (Section VII: The right to products of intellectual activity and means of individualization) articles should come with the license contract, that transfer non-exclusive copyrights to the Founder of the journal.



Requirements for the article elements



  1. 1. The manuscript should be submitted via following e-mail: vsk_gask@mail.ru. The signed contract should be handed in by the author in person or posted as a regular letter or by parcel post to the address: 6, Hibinsky proezd, Moscow, Russia, 129337 with the tag “Вестник славянских культур”. All of the documents must be additionally sent in electronic form.

  2. 2. Text is written in Microsoft Word, Page size is A4Margins are 20mm on all sidesDefault font is Times New Roman Font size is – 14Line Spacing is – 1,5Indentation is first line – 1,25Portrait orientation, No word breaking.

  3. 3. The first page of the article must be written as follows:

  • • the name of the column, font size – 14;

  • • UDC (see e.g., teacode.com/online/udc), font size – 14;

  • • BBC (see e.g., http://roslavl.library67.ru/files/382/bbk.pdf ), font size – 14;

  • • At the center: Surname, first name, and middle name of the author(s) – bold, italics, lowercase, right align. The copyright and the year is placed before the Surname, first name, and middle name of the author (e.g.:  2017 ИИ.Иванов), font size – 14. Below: the city, country, font size  12.

  • • The title of the article center-aligned. Bold, italics, justified, unintended, font size – 14.

  • • Next goes information about the financial support of the paper (grant and other), abstract and Russian keywords, date of sending(receipt) of the article, justified, no word breaking, font size is 12.

  • • Then goes the information about the author — first name, middle name, surname, scientific degree, academic rank (if any) or other status or position of the author(s) (in the absence of scientific degree and academic rank), full name of the institution, address of the institution with a postal code, E-mail, font size – 12.

  • • These are followed by the text of the article, justified, no word breaking.

  1. 4. REFERENCES are listed in the end of the article in the alphabet order in accordance with GOST 7.0.5.–2008. as a numbered list. The font used for the names of the author(s) is italic. The surname and the initials are written separately.

  2. 5. References in the text should look as follows: [1], [2, p. 567], [3, p. 45; 4, p. 89], [10, l. 8].

  3. 6. References on archive materials come in the form of automatic page footnotes.

  4. 7. Commentaries come in the form of automatic page footnotes. The number of the footnote is placed in the end of the sentence followed by full spot. The font is Times New Roman, the font size is 12.

  5. 8. After the LIST OF REFERENCES in Russian comes the following information in English (separated with ***):

  • • Surname, full first name and middle name of the author(s) are aligned on the right side, the font is italics, bold and lowercase (ex.: Ivan I. Ivanov), font size – 14. Further goes city or town, country, font size is 12.

  • • The title of the article – center align. Bold, italics, justified, unintended, the font size is 14.

  • • Then goes the information about financial support of the paper (grant etc.) (Acknowledgements),abstract and English keywords (Abstract, Keywords), justified, no word break, font size – 14.

  • • The next is the information about the author (Information about the author) — first name, middle name, surname, academic degree, academic rank (if any), work position (in the absence of scientific degree and academic rank)full name of the institution, E-mail, font size - 12.

  • • Then goes the date of sending(receipt) of the article (Received: January 26, 2017)

  • • These are followed by REFERENCES (see Guidelines for preparation of References).

  1. 9. Abbreviations. At the first mention of a person the name and patronymic name should be specified with the first capital letters with full stop (e.g.: N.P.). Separate N.P. (initials) and surname with a space. The period of time comes in numbers (e.g.: 1930s, but not “the thirties”). The Russian dates should be abbreviated as follows (г. or гг.: 1920 г., 1920–1922 гг). Not “century” or “centuries” but c. and cc. correspondingly. (in Roman numerals): IX c. Abbreviations include: etc., i.e., et al.

  2. 10. Only inverted commas of this form (e.g.:« ») are required to use. If the quotation begins or ends with the quoted word, the use of both types of commas is required (e.g.: «“one”, two, three, “four”»).

  3. 11. The illustrations should be submitted separately. Figures and tables captions are listed in English and Russian.
