| Abstract: |
The article deals with the compositional analysis and stylistic arrangement of the original version of «Life of Saint Evfrosin of Pskov*, a rare old Russian literary monument. The aim of the analysis is to explore and to explain symbolically semantisized artistic element of the narrative (i.c. number). The author comes to the conclusion that the literary work under analysis is the example of consistent usage of number symbols in their semantic connection with the plot structure of «The Life». It is a powerful and impressive means of imagery. |
