Abstract

The article addresses poetry and individual statements of poets on the work of other poets. The study is to prove that, while reviewing the work of the Other, a poet expresses his own views on life and art, his world view and mindset, putting emphasizes of their own. For example, Marina Tsvetaeva dedicated a whole series and individual poems to a number of poets: Pushkin, Blok, Akhmatova, Pasternak, Mayakovsky. And at all times she kept her own vision of the entity, pivotal principle of those she wrote about. The paper displays M. Tsvetaeva's view on the issues of art and creativity in the cycles dedicated to A.S. Pushkin and A. A. Akhmatova. By the same token, life and work of M. Tsvetaeva were reflected in numerous poems of various poets. Yet the work of Bella Akhmadulina stands out in this regard, with both its individual poems and individual lines, Tsvetaeva's reminiscences and mere  mentioning of Marina`s name attesting to the inherence of M. Tsvetaeva`s presence in B. Akhmadulina poems` realm. The author examines Bella Akhmadulina`s poems on life and work of Marina Tsvetaeva, delivering a linguistic analysis of the passage from a poem “Music lessons” by Akhmadulina illustrative of a deep insight into Akhmadulina's inner world. Introducing poems and statements by Andrey Voznesensky, Vladimir Vysotsky, Joseph Brodsky dedicated to Bella Akhmadulina the author highlights their attitude to her as to a unique poet.
