Guidelines for preparation References

REFERENCES are bibliographic lists in Latin characters with partial translation into English.

Please apply transliteration only to the sources in Cyrillic; French, German, Polish et al., sources are not subject to transliteration and translation.

Only transliteration of the Russian authors names is required, put foreign authors names in original spelling.

All articles, collections and books titles are subject to transliteration and translation into English. Put the translation after transliterated version in square brackets [ ].

Titles of academic journals are only subject to transliteration.

Put the names of collection, book or journal in italics.

Translate publisher`s imprint: place of publication, volume, issue, pages  into English.

All quotations marks in References are to be put in Latin version: “ ”.

Dear authors!

You are kindly requested not to carry out transliteration manually but to use an appropriate program for it.

  1. • Enter the website http://translit.net• Please select the system of the Library of Congress (LC).

  2. • Insert all your bibliography on Russian into a special field and press the button “into translit.

  3. • Then copy a transliterated text into your References list in the making.

  4. • Edit your transliterated Russian text and add all necessary English translations:

  • • Title of the book, article, source at al., then insert it into square brackets [] when appropriate;

  • • Use full stop instead of //;

  • • Use coma instead of /

  • • Translate the place of publication (e.g., Moscow instead of M.)

  • • After the place of publication please replace colon by coma;

  • • Add Publ. after transliterated name of the publishing house;

  • • Correct denotation of pages: 235 p. instead of 235 s., and pp. 45–47 instead of S. 45–47;

  • • Put the title of a source in italics.

  • • The mention about the original language of the paper at the end of the bibliographic reference is required, e.g.: (In Russian)
