The paper offers a review of fundamental issues arising from the evaluation of the history of Russian philosophy as an academic subject and as a method of prospective enculturation. The answer to a number of debatable questions depends on specification of the methodology used in approaching the issue, particularly on identification of similarities and differences between philosophy and theology, as well as on specification of the status of a rationalist method in philosophy. |
