The theme of this article is ethno-demographic history of the ethnic group of Russian old residents of the settlement of Pokhodsk in Nyzhnekolymsk region (the Yakutiya - Sakha Republic of Russia) in the the XX century. These people originated from Russian migrants who had been living in this region since the middle of the XVII century, and they have managed to preserve their own ethnic group, language and culture for centuries under very complicated conditions. |
