Abstract: |
The article analyzes the ideological content of Luka Zhidyata's «Teachings», points of its moral program and its sources. Proofs are provided that the archbishop addressed the sermon not to all the people of Novgorod, but only to city elite. The moral commandments have political implication. There is the conclusion in the article that Luka Zhidyata acted in the interests of the Kiev prince Yaroslav. |
