The paper is devoted to a special economic type of «an agrarian town» - to town settlements of the central provinces of Russia. Taking part actively in agricultural activities (first of all in gardening and farming) inherent in economic life of their inhabitants was the distinctive feature of a traditional Russian town of the prereform period of history of Russia. |
