| Abstract: |
The article demonstrates Russian literary travels of the aforementioned period to have not only artistic and historical importance but to have contributed to Russian cultural philosophical heritage. Having analyzed historical and cultural problems of Russian literary travelogues at various stages, the author highlighted and characterized their cultural anthropological components. Classical works of this genre reflect a model of description of contemporary culture and show a process of cultural anthropology formation in Russia. By means of the analysis of the travel prose by Karamzin, Pushkin, Muraviov, Goncharov characteristic features of culture of that period are shown and contemporary cultural philosophical problems are interpreted. In literary travelogues categories of culture are mostly reflected as symbolic images which are interpreted by the author. The boundaries of the research are concluded by the travel notes by Andrey Bely because they form a special concept of culture with its typology expressed in color and sound reflection. Deep conflicts of contemporary culture stimulated his better comprehension of culture as such. His travel notes greatly contributed to the formation of theory of culture in Russia, which was taking place in the background of literary searches. The Russian literary travelogue of XVIII - beginning of XX cc. reflects this specific feature. It became a laboratory to approbate contemporary historical, cultural and philosophical ideas and should be properly appreciated. |
