Abstract: |
In the Second Book of Enoch, translated into Slavonic not later than ХI-XII c. the conception of creation «from unbeing» («от небытья») is represented in a form of description of the creation of Being by demiurge with the intermediation of the unseeables phenomena of underworld («во преисподних»). The absence of the separate initial period of pure light-time in the Second Book of Enoch and the reference of the differentiation of the waters and the appearance of the sky, day and night to the first and not to the second day of creation (like in the Book of Genesis) allows for the author of the longer edition to correlate the second day period with the appearance of the great cosmic fire. It was on that second day when one of the archangels of fire with his angels was not only created, but also overthrown to the abyss. At the same time the sky is depicted as the structure of inner seven (shorter edition) or ten (longer edition) sky-levels in relation to the initial periphery of the formation of cosmos with God himself on this sky. The version of creation of the man, given in the longer edition, does not mention that he was created as divine image and only informs that he was created by the wisdom of God from the seven different terrestrial and celestial components and could be restored after the death from them once more. The consideration of the ontological, cosmological and anthropological aspects of the conception of creation in the Second Book of Enoch from the point of view of the history of philosophy and theology allows to trace a number of essential particular approaches in comparison with the tradition of the early Christian interpretations of the creation of cosmos in Light and Logos, space and time, ex nihilo and from the visibles and invisibles and especially of the creation and predestination of man. |
