Abstract |
The article is to study the situation prevailing in the teaching practice of university course “Cultural studies”. Such a situation stems from the semantic relativity of the concept of culture, allowing for various theoretical and cognitive collisions. The author detects the lack of elaboration of the thesaurus of “culture”, which in certain cases creates danger of sophistical judgments leading to violation of the logical law of identity. The paper draws attention to the importance of developing of conceptual-categorical apparatus for cultural studies, contributing to the theoretical and methodological aspect of the development of cultural theory. |
