Abstract |
The review is to examine a unique edition of A. A. Block’s bilateral correspondence with his wife. Aspects explored are the scientific approaches of compilers and commentators to Correspondence as an integral literary fact, which is of great importance in terms of understanding the phenomenon of “life creation” at the turn of the XX century and the dramatic fate of its participants. Particular attention is paid to communicative strategies of correspondents in the joint production of epistolary discourse in common. The study reveals the role of L. D. Mendeleyeva-Block in formation of the erotic mode of correspondence through the example of examination of signatures and farewell formulas in the letters. |
