Abstract: |
Large family forms a specific subculture. This is possible due to the fact that the family is a special social-psychological system that implements specific functional role strategies and have an extended system of sibling strata. Subculture of large families is characterized by a special picture of the world, system of values, attitudes, and behavioral strategies different from other social communities. Its specific way of life as the whole forms the psychological basis of the family and lets us talk about a particular cultural component. The structural components of the subculture of large families are the peculiarities of parental motivation, the specifics of implementation of the functionality of the family, strategies of family interaction and communication, psychological climate. Features of the subculture of large families are defined by a number of factors: cultural and socio-economic status of the family, psychological climate, communication strategies of interaction, the specificity of the psychological motivation to have large families, strategies in education, management and influence on the level of vertical and horizontal subsystems and advanced transactions in the sibling subsystem. The considered phenomenon is prosocial in nature, and is implemented in the functions of family communication, socialization, control and management. |
